Our mission to help this pristine forested camp continues. The group was dealt a blow last week when the Saugatuck township zoning committee allowed for residential properties to be built on the land. However, a grassroots effort to monitor the environmental impact is gaining strength and they think the funding and/or contract agreement may expire, thus allowing for others to bid on the property.
An effort is underway to convince the Presbytary that the only sensible way to go is this Oval Beach Conservation group instead of the developer. Who wouldn’t love the cabins that anyone can stay in instead of a two million dollar mansion that no one (other than the owner) can stay in and enjoy the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline?
